We are seeking a technically sophisticated analyst to develop models and methods for projects and products. We are developing unique applications for financial forecasting and brand management using high-frequency online surveys. Work in a fast-paced and intellectually stimulating environment where technically sophisticated solutions to business problems are being developed.


qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics or Marketing
  • Background in mathematical statistics and economics
  • Experience with models for discrete choice, missing data, measurement error, panel (longitudinal) and time-series data essential
  • Familiarity with Bayesian estimation (including hierarchical models), survey sampling, asymptotics, and experiemental design is a plus
  • Background in statistical computing, using software such as R, STATA, and WinBugs. Programming with C/C++, Perl, Python, SQL, etc., is a plus
  • Practical experience analyzing marketing and financial data

Vice President of Survey Projects

Description

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic candidates for the position of Vice President of Survey Projects on our Survey Operations team.

 

The Vice President’s primary responsibility is overseeing survey research projects, with an additional focus on reporting and analytics. This position requires an energetic individual with the ability to adapt to a dynamic workplace and to manage many different projects simultaneously. Strong computational abilities and analytical skills are essential.

 

This position requires heavy involvement with survey data and coded scripts on a daily basis; individuals without a strong computational and analytical background are not encouraged to apply. In addition, the Vice President of Survey Projects will oversee and manage a group of individuals, so leadership and communications skills are essential.

 

Qualifications

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a research environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently within a high-speed environment
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data and develop recommendations
  • Aptitude with statistical packages and data management tools (e.g. R, SAS, SPSS, Stata)
  • Prior experience or training in survey research and market research is mandatory
  • Management or supervisory experience preferable
  • Experience with SQL desirable

The ideal candidate has performed quantitative research in either an academic or professional environment.

 

Candidate should have a distinguished undergraduate academic record and familiarity with data analysis software.

Director of Panel Operations

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Reports to: VP of Survey Operations

Group: Survey Operations

 

We are seeking an experienced and energetic person with strong analytical skills to join its Operations team as the Director of Panel Operations. This person will be responsible for day-to-day execution of projects related to the panel and its operations, including both client-facing projects and internal analyses.

 

The Director will learn to gather knowledge gained from previous projects and recruitment efforts and use this experience in future projects through characterizing the performance and utilization of the panel by demographics, by client, and by type of survey. This person will also be successful in developing and suggesting methods to improve the way a survey is fielded, the way panelists are recruited, and the survey-taking experience for our respondents.

 

Selected tasks include:

  • Assessing feasibility and requirements of potential client projects
  • Measurement of panel members, their performance, and utilization
  • Statistical analyses of external data sets, including census data, to determine appropriate targets for various projects

Qualifications

    Survey Analyst

    We are seeking an energetic person with strong analytical skills to join its Operations team as a Survey Analyst. The Survey Analyst's primary responsibility is executing projects. This includes designing, scripting and testing surveys, executing pre- and post-processing of data for client delivery, as well as fielding and monitoring ongoing studies.

     

    Strong computational abilities are essential. Some prior experience with either a programming language (C/C++, Java, Python, or Perl) or scripting with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R/S+, Stata) strongly preferred.

     

    Survey Analysts are also responsible for executing other analyses that support internal research, answer questions about panelist satisfaction, and help to monitor the survey process. Analysts will learn to manage knowledge gained from previous projects and use these skills in future projects. A successful Analyst will be able to develop and suggest methods which may improve the way a survey is fielded and the survey-taking experience for our respondents
